Our first Swap Market was such a wholesome afternoon that we’re doing it all over again!
Join us at Jay Bird Deli in Portreath for a relaxed afternoon of creativity, cake, conversation and swapping handmade goodies with a group of like-minded women.
The idea is simple: you make 12 identical handmade items, bring them along, and swap one with each woman in the group.
So if you make 12 jars of homemade jam, you’ll go home with 11 completely different creations made by the other women attending.
You could bring homemade bakes, candles, jams, crochet, artwork, jewellery, plants, bath products, little crafts or something completely unique. There are no rules about what you make just make 12 of them!
And the best bit? It’s not really about the things. It’s an excuse to spend a Sunday afternoon doing something creative, meeting women you might never otherwise have crossed paths with, having a good old natter over cake and leaving with a bag full of handmade treasures.

Come on your own, you absolutely don't need to know anyone beforehand. In fact, that's half the fun.
What to bring
12 identical handmade items to swap.
They can be big, small, edible, practical, pretty, silly or completely random. The only requirement is that you bring 12 of the same thing.
You'll also need a bag or basket to carry all your new treasures home in.
Forgotten your bag? No problem - Jay Bird totes will be available to purchase on the day for £8.
