Never picked up a crochet hook before? No problem.
Join us for a relaxed evening with Morwenna, who’ll guide you through the basics of crochet step by step. You’ll learn how to hold your hook and yarn, make your first stitches and work your way towards creating your very own granny square.
It’s a lovely, low pressure evening to learn something new, have a natter and meet some other Dreckly Wild Women.
Morwenna will take you through the crochet basics, including:
• How to hold your hook and yarn
• Creating a slip knot and chain
• Basic crochet stitches
• Working in rounds
• Changing colours
• How to finish your work
• How to make your very first granny square
You won't need to bring any crochet supplies with you. We've got you covered.
Every attendee will receive their own crochet starter pack to use during the workshop and take home afterwards, including:
• 100g of DK yarn
• Crochet hook
• Scissors
• Yarn needle
• Stitch markers
• Granny square guide
You'll have plenty of yarn to keep practising and make more granny squares at home.
Absolutely no crochet experience is required. Whether you've always wanted to learn or you've tried crochet before and never quite got the hang of it, you're very welcome.
We'll keep things relaxed and go at a comfortable pace, with plenty of time to ask questions and help each other along the way.

Food and drinks will also be available to purchase from the venue on the night, so you can grab something to eat or a drink while you crochet.
